BBC - Food - Chef biogs - G to I - Mark has written a number of books on British food. His latest, British Regional Food, reflects his interest in sourcing local food & traditional recipes. He won the Glenfiddich Newspaper2003 & was voted Best Cookery Writer by the Guild of Food Writers in 2005. Mark moved to London fromthe 1920s. As he grew up, he found American food unpalatable compared with his mother's cooking so shemore than 12 books & four TV series.
